"Unto Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." Ephesians 3:21
About Us
The Central Coast Missionary Baptist church was organized on October 14, 1995 in Oceano, CA. She was organized under the authority of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Downey, CA. There were 17 charter members of the newly formed Church.
The following May, the church decided to relocate to Santa Maria. She found a small building on the south side of town to meet. The church rented half of the building at the time. In May, 1996 the church held her for services at 3421 Orcutt Rd. A few years later, one of the church members left his estate to the church. With those funds, the church purchased the entire building on Orcutt Rd.
In May of 2008 the church decided to relocate to a new location in Santa Maria. When others said it could not be done; Later that year on October 12th, the church held its first service at the new location on Clark Ave.
Like any new church, there were ups and downs. But God faithfully sustained the congregation even through the toughest of times.
It's been said that our church is perfect. It's hard not to agree. There are things that this church does better than any other. While other churches claim to be loving, friendly and hospitable, this church proves it. In addition to her character, the church also displays a hunger for the understanding and practice of the truth of the Word of God.
The church has a big heart for outreach. Be it through personal evangelism or through missionary work, the congregation displays a genuine love for those in need.
